How to sew two crochet pieces neatly?

Hello weaver! As it happens to all of us, in everything we do there are things we like and things we don't. Sewing is one of the most difficult points when it comes to finishing our crocheted garments, and it is even more difficult to make the seams neat so that they harmoniously accompany our fabrics.

In this video I show you how I make the seams in a very easy and extra neat way using the same crochet needle that I use to knit my garment.

If you already have enough practice you will realize that the stitch I make is neither more nor less than the last stitch or slip stitch that is normally used to close turns. In this case, the secret is that the seams are very neat.

To consider! Beyond being a stitch that we always knit, it should be noted that while we sew with this crochet stitch, we have to pay extra attention to identify the stitches that we are sewing and thus avoid putting more or less stitches, thus preventing it from shrinking. or the fabric stretches.

Here is the explanation: For example, if you are joining a half double crochet (as I am doing in the video), so that the fabric is neat, does not stretch or shrink after sewing, you will have to make two past stitches in each half double crochet that some. The past stitches do not have to be tight or loose, as you make each stitch you will be giving yourself as much as it is left. The more you practice, the easier it will be over time and this secret will stay forever in your toolbox for all the crochet garments you make that need sewing of course!

Sometimes it may take you several attempts to identify how many stitches to put to join each stitch, you can try it out with a sample to practice and then once you have achieved the desired result you put it into practice in the real garment you are knitting.

Here I leave THE VIDEO so you can see in more detail how it looks, how it's done, and always always remember that patience is key to being able to hold his hand, so, good music and practice!
