This time I tell you how you can keep your crocheted garments (and all the products that you have hand-knitted) so that they stay in good shape for longer. An important point to keep in mind is that the duration of our crochet garment will always depend on the quality of yarn with which we have worked.

As it is a hand-woven product, we do not run the risk of it falling apart when we wash it in the washing machine, unless the initial and final knots are not so tight, we have missed a stitch or have been mistreated by moths. What hand-woven garments do I wash in a washing machine? Those that are large and heavy, such as blankets, sacks or cardigans, since being large is a bit more difficult to wash them by hand. In this case I always use delicate programs for fabrics and cold water so as not to risk them shrinking. There are some bags that come specifically to put delicate garments in the washing machine, they are very useful too so if you can get them they always come in handy.

For those garments that are smaller, such as blouses, tops, scarves, scarves, the ideal is to wash it by hand and also with cold / warm water.

In all cases, it is always important to add fabric softener to prevent them from being rough after drying. Fabric softener also helps keep them better by reducing the chance of balling in the yarn.

To store them in our closet, you can do it normally like any garment, but considering that the thread sometimes snags, if you have the possibility of storing them in a separate drawer or shelf it is ideal.
